We let our frogs go. . .

We had a bunch of tadpoles for a while, and a couple of weeks ago most of them turned into itty-bitty frogs/toads. After about a week of captivity, we decided it was time to let them go free. Mackenzie wasn't too keen on the idea of them not living with us anymore, but the thought of having to catch them bugs for (what would seem like) the rest of MY life was a bit overwhelming!!! So, we gathered them into a pitcher deep enough that they couldn't jump out and headed to our garden. Here is what they looked like before we let them go. . .

Can you see just how little they were??
They quickly jumped off to explore their new home. One of them stayed around long enough for me to watch him/her eat, and then posed for a picture.

We still have a few treefrog tadpoles left. . .they will be released immediately after turning into frogs. . .they are cute, but two cats, three fish, a hubby and a 4-year old are enough for me to worry about!
